Behind the Workflow: Episode 10 Recap

In our first-ever guest episode, we sit down with the incredible Aldreama Harper—aka Dream—founder of the OrganizePreneur podcast, podcast launch strategist, and host of the Business & Podcasting Networking Event for female entrepreneurs. We talk about what it really takes to run a successful show (hint: it’s not about flashy tools), how workflows change as you grow, and why you don’t need millions of downloads to see results.

Podcasting Since 2013? Yes, Really.

Dream launched her first podcast in 2013—back when SoundCloud was the place to be and Anchor wasn’t even owned by Spotify. Since then, she’s hosted over 550 episodes across multiple shows. That’s a lot of mic time.

She shares how early experiences shaped her podcasting style, including a story about calling into radio stations in the 80s (and getting invited to consider a career in voice work!).

But her biggest takeaway from that era? Having a system is everything. Her early shows fizzled out not because of passion—but because she didn’t yet have a repeatable workflow.

Workflow Woes: From Chaos to Clarity

Let’s be real. We’ve all been there.

One week, your podcast is running smoothly. The next, you’re juggling six half-finished tasks, a guest who forgot to send their headshot, and a release deadline creeping up fast.

Dream breaks down what changed when she started building intentional systems:

What Didn’t Work:

  • Multitasking without structure

  • Trying to keep everything in her head

  • Letting clients dictate tools (leading to chaos)

What Does Work Now:

  • Documenting her entire workflow

  • Creating SOPs that allow for easy delegation

  • Using Northflow to manage pre-, during, and post-production in one place

  • Coaching clients to follow her system (and charging more if they insist on their own)

Dream’s golden rule? “If you don’t finish anything, you can’t gain momentum.” And we couldn’t agree more.

Building a Client Workflow That Works

One of the most relatable struggles Dream shares is this: clients want results, but often resist the systems that get them there.

Her advice?

  • Position your workflow as a benefit, not a boundary
Show clients how your system saves time, reduces errors, and improves visibility.

  • Use tools that scale with you
Dream uses Northflow to manage client tasks, guest forms, assets, and timelines—all while keeping her own show running smoothly.

  • Charge more for chaos
If clients insist on using scattered tools, she adds a fee. Structure = sanity.

Dream’s Favorite Tip: Strategy Meets Simplicity

Dream opens every episode of her show with this mantra:
“Where strategy meets simplicity.”

Her biggest tip?

“Document everything—as if you’re about to hire someone off the street to help you tomorrow.”

Why? Because that’s the key to scaling. When your workflow lives in your head, you can’t grow. But when your system is documented, you can delegate with ease—and avoid starting from scratch every time.

TL;DR – Episode 10 Takeaways

  • Dream Harper has been podcasting since 2013 and has hosted 500+ episodes

  • She built her client process around simplicity, documentation, and Northflow

  • Multitasking kills momentum—finish one thing before moving to the next

  • Client workflows work best when they follow a proven, repeatable system

  • Delegation becomes easy when you document your processes
