Hey Northflow community, We’re back with another bi-weekly update, and this time, Taly is flying solo while Simona is out speaking at conferences. In this episode of Behind the Workflow, we’re diving into how creators and teams are using Northflow today, what’s launching soon, and one real-life moment where things didn’t go quite as planned.

What you can do with Northflow

Whether you’re a solo podcaster or managing multiple shows for clients, Northflow brings everything into one place so you’re not juggling tools just to keep things moving.

Solo creators are replacing spreadsheets, Trello boards, and scattered Google Docs with one centralized workspace. Inside each episode, you can plan, assign tasks, track progress, upload assets, and keep notes all in one place.

Agencies and teams are setting up reusable episode templates, assigning work to editors and writers, and using guest task links to collect headshots, bios, and notes without needing to chase people down in email.

Stages and Kanban task boards make it easy to know exactly where each episode stands, from pre-production to post-production. Drag and drop your way through the process with full clarity.

Northflow gives you the structure you need without the overwhelm so you can spend more time creating content and less time tracking it down.

What’s launching soon

We’ve got two powerful features rolling out that will simplify how you manage guests, content, and your show’s online presence.

Northflow podcast guest form builder interface showing how podcasters and agencies can create custom forms for guest prep, episode suggestions, and client collaboration—streamlining podcast management and episode planning in one platform.

Forms

Forms are coming to Northflow. You’ll soon be able to create unique forms per show for things like guest submissions, client episode requests, and listener feedback.

Here’s how it works:

  • Customize a form with questions, file uploads, and thank-you messages

  • Automatically turn form responses into new episodes

  • Apply templates so each episode starts with your standard task list

  • Get notified when someone submits a form

Forms replace the need for Google Forms, Typeform, and long email threads, keeping your entire workflow in one place.

Show Sites

Each show in Northflow will now come with its own website.

With one simple toggle, you’ll be able to:

  • Launch a clean, professional show site

  • Display your latest episodes, show description, and RSS feed

  • Add social links, a contact page, and even a link-in-bio-style page for your promo content

We’re starting with one simple template that looks great on all devices. More customization options will be coming soon based on your feedback.

Automation slip-up we’re learning from

We’re committed to building in public, which means sharing the wins and the mistakes.

Last week, an automation between Notion and Zapier misfired and sent an email to 29 users, with everyone CC’d on the same thread.

Thankfully, no sensitive info was shared, but that’s not the experience we want for our users. We fixed the issue, emailed everyone affected, and added safeguards to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Thanks for your patience and for giving us the space to keep learning and improving.
